Your Opinion: Response to Boldt’s comments

Dear Editor:

It’s understood that Bob Boldt is the shock jock of editorials, and is obviously fishing for a bite every time he submits. I don’t go for the bait much, because the contents are just more propaganda from the left.

Boldt went over the line Dec. 27 when he said any soldier, sailor, airman or Marine “should be deeply ashamed” of their tour of duty in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Boldt goes on to say “our solders, (volunteers all) are not heroes by any metrics.” This is where he just really doesn’t get it. You see the military does not feel they are heroes. They all know who the heroes are. The heroes left part of themselves; some left all, in the field. Honor, courage and duty is a foreign language to your ilk Boldt.

You are neither a patriot nor an American. What you are is a parasite living within this great country which exits solely because of the sacrifices of those you so abhor. Should you decide to leave this country, I will not miss you.

The author's name must appear with the letter, and the name, address and phone number provided for verification. Letters that cannot be verified by telephone will not be published.
