Helias boys expecting battle in rematch with Borgia

While things rarely go according to plan, don’t be surprised if the season’s second meeting between Helias and St. Francis Borgia plays out similar to the first one.
When the Crusaders hosted the Knights on Dec. 8 at Rackers Fieldhouse, it was a low-scoring affair. How low? Try 32-25 in favor of Borgia.
“The first time we met, it was an ugly game offensively, but very entertaining defensively,” Helias coach Josh Buffington said. “Both teams guarded hard and took away Option No. 1 and Option No. 2. It was just a night where neither team had shots fall.”
Today’s 7:45 p.m. sectional contest at Washington High School promises to be more of the same. So for Helias, that means limiting 6-foot senior guard Bryce Dolan (17.5 points per game) and 6-9 senior center Jacob Martin (11.7). On the flip side, Borgia will need to ....
