HERMANN, Mo. — The Hermann Lady Bearcats jumped out to a 17-9 lead after one quarter Wednesday night and defeated the Blair Oaks Lady Falcons 59-43 in the semifinals of the Class 3 District 9 Tournament.

Hermann, the top seed, extended its advantage to 31-17 at the break. It was 45-28 heading into the final period.

In Wednesday night’s other semifinal, St. James posted a 47-40 victory over Fatima.
