Seeds almost hold in Class 3 District 9 openers

HERMANN, Mo. — There was a lone upset Tuesday night as the Class 3 District 9 Tournament tipped off.

It came in the final game of the night, where No. 6 St. James stunned No. 3 Hermann by a 68-54 final.

Among the higher seeds to win, Southern Boone, Fatima and Blair Oaks were victorious.
