KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Jackson County prosecutors have charged a 45-year-old Kansas City man with attacking a woman and her 11-year-old daughter in 1990.
Prosecutors said Friday that Roy D. Andrews is charged with rape and two counts of sodomy for the attack Nov. 23, 1990, in the woman's home.
The Kansas City Star reports (http://bit.ly/zgk5dC) that Andrews already was in custody facing trial on multiple counts of statutory sodomy and rape when the charges were announced. He told investigators he did not know anything about the 1990 attacks.
Prosecutors said crime lab analysts linked DNA to Andrews in the 1990 case as part of an ongoing review of cold case sexual assaults.
