Lady Jays fall short against Rock Bridge

SEDALIA, Mo. — The Jefferson City Lady Jays got 33 points from freshman Napheesa Collier, but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Jays dropped a 75-67 decision to No. 1 Rock Bridge in the title game of the Class 5 District 9 Tournament Friday night in Sedalia.

The Lady Jays, who trailed most of the game, cut the lead to four with 40 seconds left, but the Lady Bruins hit their free throws down the stretch.
