Helias heads to district title game after 66-25 rout of Boonville

ELDON - Up by 18 points at the half, the Helias Crusaders didn't really need a great effort to finish off Wednesday night's game against the Boonville Pirates.

They did it anyway.

The Crusaders totaled 30 points in the third quarter against the Pirates and cruised to a 66-25 victory in the Class 4 District 10 semifinals.

"That was as good as we've played all season," Helias coach Josh Buffington said. "We did a great job of pushing the basketball and finding the hot man."

The hot man was Josh Smith. The senior guard was just 1-of-5 on 3-pointers in the first two quarters and appeared to be hesitant to shoot at times.
