Helias focused on semifinal matchup with Boonville

The Helias Crusaders are taking it one game at a time.

“The only game we’re focused on is (tonight),” Helias coach Josh Buffington said as the Crusaders prepared to take on the Boonville Pirates at the Class 4 District 10 Tournament in Eldon.

“We just want to advance, we haven’t even looked at the next one. The only game we’ve prepared for is this one and only this one.”

The top-seeded Crusaders (17-8) may have needed that focus in preparation because Buffington said the fourth-seeded Pirates (12-13) aren’t like anyone Helias has played so far. The two teams did not meet in the regular season.
