Blue Tigers swept away at Truman

KIRKSVILLE - The good thing for the Lincoln women's basketball team is it knows its seed for the upcoming Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Tournament.

But the bad news for the Blue Tigers is that means they couldn't get past Truman State.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 15-point halftime lead and never looked back in an 82-53 rout of Lincoln on Wednesday night in Kirksville.

The Lincoln men were officially eliminated from MIAA Tournament contention with a 74-57 loss to Truman.

Lincoln led 22-6 less than seven minutes into the game after a 3-pointer by James Edmond. But the lead wouldn't last. The Blue Tigers built the lead as high as 16 in the first half before Truman stormed back. The Bulldogs closed the half on a 30-12 run to take a 38-36 lead.
