Missouri law agencies last year seized almost 2,100 methamphetamine labs — the most seizures in the past five years, the state Highway Patrol reported Friday.
After state law was changed in 2005, making it harder to obtain meth-making ingredients, the patrol said the total number of meth lab seizures dropped in 2006.
But, since then, the number of successful busts has risen steadily, from 1,285 in 2007 to 2,096 last year.
