In 1938 in Mount Pleasant, N.C., the Rev. Oglethorpe has invited the Sanders Family Singers to provide an uplifting evening of song and witnessing at his church.

Dale Wilkes will direct the Stained Glass Theatre of Mid-Missouri’s production of “Smoke on the Mountain” Feb. 23-March 10 in Jefferson City.

Show times are 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday. Some weekends will include a Saturday evening show.

The performance will include more than two dozen songs — many of which are vintage pop hymns — and hilarious stories.

“Smoke on the Mountain” was written by Constance Ray and Alan Bailey. Musical arrangement was by Mike Craver and Mark Har. The show is produced by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc.
