COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri made it a point this week it wasn’t going to let Oklahoma State beat it the same way it did Jan. 25.
The point was well received.
The Tigers avenged their earlier loss to the Cowboys in resounding style. Five Missouri players finished in double figures and the Tigers blew out the Cowboys 83-65 Wednesday night at Mizzou Arena.
While players said it wasn’t revenge, the common theme after the game was growth. Everything that went wrong in the first meeting against Oklahoma State went right Wednesday.
“We definitely remembered how we didn’t perform in Stillwater,” Missouri guard Kim English said.
The win moves Missouri back into a tie with Kansas for first place in the Big 12 with five games remaining. The Tigers are now 24-2 overall and 11-2 in the Big 12.
