FAA investigates laser pointed at jet

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating another incident in which someone pointed a laser at a plane.
KMOX Radio (http://cbsloc.al/wxRnZB) reports that the latest incident happened Sunday evening as a 737 was about to land at Lambert Airport in St. Louis. Officials aren’t disclosing the airline. No one was hurt.
Last week, a St. Charles man was charged with shining his laser at both a plane and a helicopter. The 30-year-old suspect could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
Authorities say the bright green laser beams can temporarily blind pilots and put the safety of the plane and those on it in jeopardy.
