In behalf of Trinklein Brother Greenhouses, I would like to set the record straight regarding the article titled "51 County Businesses on Delinquent Tax List" which was printed in the News Tribune Jan. 29.
We want to assure our thousands of valued customers that we have always deposited the sales tax which we collect from them. We were on the "Whose Not Paying" list because some of our tax deposits were credited to the wrong pay period. We did not have any delinquent tax deposits.
Once this misunderstanding was cleared up, we were removed from the list. You can verify this by going to the DOR website.
No one likes paying taxes but our lives are made better by the projects they fund, so we take our part in the tax collection process very seriously.
