Bullet hits St. Louis school bus, no injuries

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A bullet hit the back of a school bus in St. Louis, scaring several students on the bus. Police said no injuries were reported.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports (http://bit.ly/zivcXe) that the shot hit the school bus Friday afternoon as it was dropping off students from the Imagine Academy of Environmental Science and Math.

Debbie Jones-Fowler, a representative with the Student Transit bus company, said about 20 students were aboard when the bullet hit.

She said the incident happened while several youths were standing near the bus when one of them threw something at the bus. Then one of the youths pulled out a handgun and fired one shot that hit the rear door. The group scattered and ran off after the shot was fired.

Police are investigating the incident.
