Bernskoetter leads Lions to victory

In boys basketball Friday night

It's hard to tell which was more impressive Friday night - Calvary Lutheran's game-deciding run or the stat line put up by the Lions' James Bernskoetter.

First up, the run. The Lions closed the first half on a 22-2 spurt that spanned 5:45 and turned a 20-14 deficit into a commanding 36-22 lead by halftime. It effectively ended Calvary's 65-46 win at Trinity Lutheran over the Fulton School at St. Albans.

Secondly, the game posted by Bernskoetter. One of four Lions playing their final home game on Senior Night, the 6-foot-4 center poured in a team-high 19 points and also ripped down 22 rebounds - one more than St. Albans had as a team.
