The Jefferson City Planning and Zoning Commission has approved a proposed zoning plan for what is now known as the Meadows by the Club annexation area.

Shown here is the proposed zoning map.

At the commission meeting Thursday, members were presented with a proposed zoning map for the 169-acre area on the west end of the city. The map splits the various areas into mostly residential and commercial zoning uses.

In December, the City Council's annexation committee accepted a plan by city staff to move forward on an annexation proposal on the western side of the city.

Oh, they'll find a place or two, JCsleeper. They have fallen in love with them.

I love the roundabout out by the Pioneer Trail school that has no driveways to go anywhere!

Hope those residents are ready for a tax increase, rate hikes, and city ordinance harrassment all without ever getting a sidewalk put in! Congrats you are on your way to becomming part of the sinking ship known as JC!

Perhaps the city might want to survey it's citizens and ask if it is power grabs like this that help initiatives like transformation fail. Do they not realize this could hurt them in the long run?

BTW - The POTUS uses words like "transformation", that could be part of the problem. Just sayin

Just curious, have the citizens that were forced annexed between Jefferson City and the Ike Skelton Training Site been provided with all the services/benefits (sidewalks, sewer, streetlights, etc.) other areas inside the city limits enjoy? If not, before the next land grab, why doesn’t the existing city fix what is broken before forcing others, presently outside the city limits, to get drug in to it?

Hope all these annexed areas get the benefits of the City Trash Service, and get to pay all the city taxes on their cell phone bills, sewer bills, water bills, electric bills, gas bills, cable tv bills, phone bills, ambulance service, and when they buy a car, etc.

All those little taxes add up!

What about our county taxes thanks to our so called conservative county commissioners like Ellinger and Wrigley those two have raised our taxes three times. Those guys need to thrown out.
