At about 9 p.m. Thursday night, Jefferson City Police Officers were dispatched to Sub Shop, located in the 1900 block of Missouri Boulevard, for a call of an armed robbery that had just occurred.
When officers arrived, they contacted the victim, a 36 year-old male Jefferson City resident, who said that an unknown black male had come into the business and implied that he had a weapon, demanding money. The suspect then sprayed the victim with pepper spray and struck him, at which time the victim fled the business. No one else was present in the business at the time of the robbery. The suspect left with an undetermined amount of money, and the victim refused any medical treatment. Jefferson City Police Detectives responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’8”, and around 140-150 pounds. He was wearing a blue/black and white plaid jacket with jersey gloves, and had on a ski mask with the eye sections cut out.
Anyone with information should contact Detectives with the Jefferson City Police Department, or call CrimeStoppers at 659-TIPS.
