Helias wrestlers hope for spark

The Helias Crusaders are hoping a tough schedule will provide a district tournament spark.

The Crusaders had just five of their 10 wrestlers seeded as the Class 3 District 4 Tournament gets set to begin today at Staley High School in Kansas City.

“We knew that we weren’t going to get a lot of great seeds because of some of our records,” Helias coach Travis Reinsch said. “And we lost a couple of seeds because of it. But we wrestle a pretty tough schedule and we were losing out to a couple of schools who may not wrestle as good a schedule as we do.

“But that’s OK, we’ll figure it all out on the mat. That’s the best way to do it.”
