For the Lincoln University athletic department, "some day" has become "today."
Whenever the subject of the school's weight room was brought up, "some day" was part of the conversation. As in, "Some day things will get better." Or, even more daring, "Some day we'll get a new weight room."
The journey is now complete, as the school held an official ribbon-cutting Tuesday to dedicate the newly renovated, 4,000-square-foot facility in Soldiers Hall. It's where an older, much smaller weight room shared space with the ROTC rifle range.
