City to suspend license for Chick's Tap Room

Chick's Tap Room is facing a two-week suspension of their liquor license after multiple violations resulted from a Jan. 29 fight.

At the Jefferson City Liquor Control Board meeting Tuesday, Sgt. Steve Dappen said the police were called to the location at 1 a.m. Jan. 29 in response to a large fight.

Finance Director Steve Schlueter, who sits on the board, said the incident brought up multiple violations, including smoking in a public place, not having enough employees to control a crowd if needed and the employee did not call the police in response to the fight. Dappen said the police were called by a patron of the establishment.
