Capt. Alan Brown, the commander of Headquarters Company, 110th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade of Kansas City and a command historian for the Missouri National Guard in Jefferson City, is one of those Guardsmen. Brown was recently awarded the Missouri National Guard Commendation Ribbon for his state of emergency duty service.
