FULTON, Mo. - Westminster senior Rachel Backes has been named first-team academic all-district as voted on by college sports information directors.
Backes (Tipton High School) is a member of the dean's list, the National College Athlete Honor Society and is a two-time academic all-conference selection.
Backes is the reigning St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Association player of the year. She is averaging 11.5 points per game this season for the 16-3 Blue Jays.
