Wrestling: Jays advance in Louisiana

BATON ROUGE, La. — Jefferson City went 5-0 in the Deep South Bayou Classic on Friday to earn one of just six slots in the final pool out of 48 teams.

The Jays opened with a 74-3 victory against South Walton Beach, Fla; defeated Sulphur, La. 78-(-3); beat Dutchtown, La. 67-12; topped Grissom, Ala. 51-26 and closed the day with a 62-9 win against Live Oak, La.

Five Jays went a perfect 5-0 on Friday.
