2012 was warmest year on record

It’s official. According to the National Weather Service in St. Louis, 2012 was the warmest year on record in Jefferson City.

At the Missouri American water plant on West Main Street, the average daily temperature was 58.8 degrees. That broke the previous record of 58.4 degrees set in 1921.

For 2012 at the Jefferson City Airport, the average daily temperature was 60.5 degrees.
