The end of the year is always busy at the Cole County Collector’s Office as people rush to pay off their property taxes.

This year, the collector has seen some positive signs.

“Things have actually been smoother this year than in previous years and a lot of that is due to taxpayers paying earlier," said Collector Larry Vincent. "It allows us to do a better job of staying caught up and handling issues as they arise.”
