“Recipes & Memories,” a commemorative combination cookbook and history from Russellville, is available for $20 at the Community Bank of Russellville or city hall.
Proceeds will support the 175th anniversary celebration in June 2013 and the efforts to refurbish the caboose, currently at City Park but slated to be relocated to Railroad Park downtown.
The front and back cover feature century-old photos of a locomotive, the town depot and the downtown.
Before the reader reaches the “Appetizers” chapter there a listing of businesses, historic to present-day.
Each dividing page between chapters features a community church and a detailed listing of past and present general stores, grocery stores, restaurants and more, researched and compiled by Eve and Jim Campbell.
