Helias upsets Moberly in boys basketball

MOBERLY, Mo. — The Helias Crusaders used a defensive effort in the third quarter Friday to upset Moberly, the ninth-ranked team in the state in Class 4, by a 40-35 score at Moberly Area Community College.

The Crusaders entered halftime with a 25-20 lead and then built it up by holding the Spartans to just one points in the third. Helias countered with eight points of its own to lead 33-21 heading to the fourth.
