Christmas cookies may have saved Mo. woman's life

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. (AP) - A St. Louis County woman survived a tree crashing through her home, and she credits Christmas cookies for her good fortune.

KSDK-TV (http://on.ksdk.com/U1SmQy ) reports that high winds caused a tree to crash into the woman's home Thursday afternoon, crushing the roof and smashing through a window where the homeowner had been sitting just moments before.

The woman told the TV station she had just gotten up to go to the kitchen to bake cookies.

The home was badly damaged and may be condemned.
