Thousands of soldiers at Lambert Airport

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Thousands of soldiers from Fort Leonard Wood are going home for the holidays, and many of them are passing through the airport in St. Louis.

KMOV-TV (http://bit.ly/TCXMmq ) reports that Lambert Airport was packed Thursday with some 4,000 soldiers from the southern Missouri base. Capt. Nick Cosmas says it is important to get soldiers back to their families for the holidays so they can get some downtime and relax. He says it is especially important for those who have been deployed in the past.
