Senior Faith Lynn likes to be artistic. She hadn't tried ceramics before, so when Russellville schools offered the class for the first time this semester, she signed up.

Once she finishes a project, Lynn said she likes to give it away.

Fellow classmates Courtney Dawson, senior, and Hannah Matthews, junior, also plan to use pieces they've made in the class as Christmas gifts this year.

"I've learned to like art a lot more than I used to," Matthews said. "I would just draw in the past; I think I like ceramics better."

On the other hand, Dawson said, "I'm not much into objects.
