Mo. deputy killed in line of duty laid to rest

POTOSI, Mo. (AP) — An eastern Missouri deputy killed in the line of duty has been laid to rest.
Funeral services Wednesday in Potosi for 31-year-old Christopher Parsons were attended by law enforcement officers from throughout the region.
Parsons was a Washington County deputy. He shot to death Saturday while responding to an emergency call. After a 15-hour manhunt, 30-year-old Gary Sancegrow was arrested. He is charged with first-degree murder and other crimes.
KMOV-TV (http://bit.ly/URhnPf ) reports that Parsons had been a member of the sheriff’s department for less than two months.
