Your Opinion: Capitol Caroling keeps audience in mind

Dear Editor:
I remember purchasing my first Christmas album. It was by Barbara Streisand. Funny thing is, Ms. Streisand is Jewish. Yet she sang those Christmas carols with her audience in mind.
I believe Capitol Caroling has the same goal — the enjoyment of their audience. It is not necessary to subscribe to the meaning of a song to enjoy singing, playing, or hearing it. There is no ulterior motive to push one’s religion on or to offend anyone — only to present beautiful and sentimental melodies combined with voice and instrument to create an evening of joy.
I do believe in this message — Peace on earth, goodwill towards men. Capitol Caroling is an opportunity to come together for an evening of respite from the turmoil outside.
