Saturday morning marked this year's opportunity for Jefferson City youngsters who may not otherwise have a chance to have a Christmas to go shopping as Operation TOYS (Take Our Youth Shopping) took place.

For more than 20 years, this program has been done with members of law enforcement departments from Jefferson City, Cole County and state agencies taking part.

The kids met the officers at the Jefferson City Police Department and then, riding in various patrol vehicles with sirens blaring and lights flashing, they drove to the east Walmart.
