LU business programs on temporary probation
Sunday, December 16, 2012
Thanks apparently to a computer problem this fall, Lincoln University’s business programs have been placed on probation for one year by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), based in Overland Park, Kan.
But LU administrators have been told the council may reconsider that action when it meets in April, because “an electronic transmission error” prevented Lincoln from receiving a report it should have gotten — and commented on — before last month’s meeting where the probation decision was made.
Lincoln’s business programs still are listed as “accredited” on the ACBSP’s website page of “Current ACBSP Accredited Programs and Members.”
