New candidates file in Jefferson City 3rd, 1st wards

A third candidate has entered the race in Jefferson City's 3rd Ward, ensuring a primary will be held in March, and another race has formed in the 1st Ward.

Ken Hussey filed for the 3rd Ward seat Friday afternoon and will face incumbent Bryan Pope as well as another challenger, Len Stella, in a primary held March 5.

In the 1st Ward, Kolbie Ward has filed to run against James J. Branch, who works as a salesperson at Riley Chevrolet. The two are facing off for the seat currently held by Bob Weber, who is term-limited and cannot run again.
