WHY IS IT SO HARD TO PUT FREAKING GUN LOCKS ON YOUR WEAPONS. SO SAD! CHARGE THE GRANDFATHER WITH CHILD ENDANGERMENT!!!!

Because when someone breaks in my house and I reach for my gun beside my bed to stick in their face I'm not going to have time to find a key and unlock it. Which sounds like the case in the story. The gun should have been hidden or out of reach from a child.

My grandfather thought he had his guns hidden. Everyone of his nine grandchildren knew where they were from the time we were little bitty. BUT, we also were reared around guns, new how to handle guns at a young age, and knew not to touch them without an adult around and as far as I know, none of us ever did. When Grandad died, Gramma was afraid she would never find them. The six cousins at the house led her right to them even though it had been at least 10 years since any of us had seen one of them.
