Coffee store: Fair trade benefits growers financially, spiritually
Sunday, December 9, 2012
Everyone has a story. Tony Anderson’s is beginning his dream of opening a coffee store.
The Third-World growers who provide his coffee directly have their own stories to tell. And the customers Anderson hopes to draw at Three Story Coffee, in the 100 block of East Dunklin Street in Jefferson City, will bring in their stories as well.
Anderson is hopeful after a soft opening Thursday that he will build connections to local consumers and churches looking for fair-trade goods and with the coffee growers without middle-men in between.
