Jefferson City's D.J. Jones goes on the offensive against Eureka's Kyle Ridings in the 160-pound match during first round Gold Division action in Friday night's Missouri Duals at Helias.

In the waning seconds of Jefferson City's dual against Eureka, assistant wrestling coach David Ganey had to practically hold his team back after getting too close to the mat.

The young Jays had just found out a little bit about themselves and the team was excited.

Garrett Tucker pinned his opponent late in the second period of the dual's final match to secure the Jays' 36-28 victory during Friday's Missouri Duals at Helias.

"It was a big win for use because they are now a district opponent," Jefferson City head coach Phil Cagle said as the Jays went 2-0 on the first day of the event.
