Dear Editor:
There are heroes among us that are seldom recognized. One that I am aware of retired about a year ago and twice that I am aware of he has responded to help restore power due to natural disasters. The last being "Sandy" on the East Coast.
With a phone call from AmerenUE he and others packed their clothes and headed to the East Coast.
They went a long time without any heat or electricity working 16 hours per day.
Without these dedicated, trained and experienced men and women from AmerenUE our country could not recover as quickly from natural disasters.
In our area I have not read about our Jefferson City community recognizing any of our AmerenUE employees.
They deserve special thanks and recognition for their quick response and time given.
