Local man faces child porn charges

A Jefferson City man has been charged with one count of possession of child pornography for being in possession of pornographic images of a person under the age of 18. Nathaniel Oawster, 28, is scheduled to be in court next week.

A Cole County Sheriff’s Department probable cause statement shows the investigation began in May when a family member told deputies she had found files on a family computer which she believed contained child porn, specifically, thumbnail drives that were titled “less than 18 years old.”
