COLUMBIA, Mo. - Jefferson City never had a chance.
Not against St. Joseph's Academy's two future NCAA Division I players (Erin Nelson and Sydney Stipanovich), not against the Angels' distinct size advantage.
St. Joseph's Academy cruised to an 85-49 victory Sunday afternoon in the Norm Stewart Classic at Columbia College.
"They're really good," Jefferson City coach Shane Meyer said. "Obviously it starts with the two big kids in Stipanovich and Nelson. Quite honestly we've got to be pretty perfect to guard those two."
Nelson, a Saint Louis University signee, and Stipanovich, a University of Pennsylvania commit, combined for 32 points and nine rebounds in just a combined 32 minutes.
