Blair Oaks boys, girls win Eugene titles

EUGENE, Mo. — With so many new faces, the Blair Oaks Falcons had some question marks entering the season.

They may have answered some of those in the first week of the season as Blair Oaks defeated California 68-54 on Saturday to win the Eugene Tournament.

“It was a great way to start the season,” Blair Oaks coach Ryan Fick said.


On the girls side, Blair Oaks held off a late California charge to take the Eugene Tournament crown with a 41-39 victory Saturday afternoon.


In the boys third-place game Saturday, Tyler Kempker tossed in a game-high 18 points to lead Eugene in a 62-44 victory against Versailles.
