LU curators to consider presidential candidates today

The debate begins at 9 a.m. today, as Lincoln University’s curators go into closed session to discuss the three candidates who visited Jefferson City this week and talked about why they want to be LU’s next president.

“We hope to review the qualifications of the candidates and how we felt they presented themselves at these meetings,” Curator Greg Gaffke of Jefferson City — and a co-chair of the presidential search committee — said Friday. “We’d like to see if there is a consensus among the Board of Curators as to who we look to go into contract negotiations with.”
