Man charged with setting hay on fire

A Jefferson City man has been charged with setting 32 hay bales on fire in July in Cole County.

Seth Eggen, 20, of 800 Kaylyn Drive, is charged with one count of first-degree property damage.

According to a Cole County Sheriff’s Department probable cause statement, the fire was reported around 2:44 a.m. on July 3 on Stockman Lane, just off Rockridge Road.
