Local man gets 7 years for role in burglary ring

A Jefferson City man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for pleading guilty to charges in connection with a burglary ring bust in January.
Douglas Wright, 38, of 404 Hiview Drive, was charged with two counts of first-degree burglary and one count of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
The burglaries occurred in the 3800 block of North Teal Bottom Road, near Osage Bend, and in the 100 block of Hidden Valley Road, near Henley. The two homes are about 13 miles apart, over two-lane roads.
