Your Opinion: Democrats not beyond reproach

Dear Editor:

A letter of mine was published on Aug. 13 claiming that the Democrat Party in Ohio was filing a lawsuit to prevent military personnel from having added time in order to vote. On Aug. 16 a letter was published by writer Linda Wenzlick who took great umbrage with my letter, so I checked into the situation and found out that I “misspoke”, to coin a Democrat phrase. I submitted another letter on Aug. 21 apologizing for the “misstatements” in my previous letter.

After listening to what the Democrat National Committee (DNC) chair, Debbie Wasserman Schultz said on Anderson Cooper’s CNN show last night, I’m wondering if Linda Wenzlick will be writing another letter to our News Tribune and excoriate her for not only “lying” but then saying that “it didn’t matter” that she misquoted the LA Times in a fund raising letter? I will not be holding my breath as even the big “D” and big “C” guy here in Mid-Missouri, and you know who you are, probably won’t say anything about this poor excuse for a United States congresswomen! If it wasn’t for her, we conservatives would have to listen to all the baloney that Joe Biden puts out, which at least half of it, is untrue. Joe gets confused with which state he’s in, but at least I think he, unlike Obama, knows we have only 50 states rather than 57!

I am a firm believer in the axiom that when an opponent is trying to shoot themselves in the foot, stand back and let them do it. Without her, life would be rather dull. I wonder how long she will be in this highly visible position of DNC chair? I can only hope that she is there for a long, long time. Some of the Democrats that could take over for her and that have an outstanding reputation of being honest and above reproach would be, former Congressman Anthony Weiner, former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer, Congressman Charlie Rangel, or my best choice of the most honest guy would be former President Bill Clinton.

Make it a good day, you people that think the sun rises and falls in the Democrat Party.
