The Jefferson City Council heard presentations from several department directors on where cuts were made in the proposed budget for the next fiscal year, but no decisions were made on whether to change or approve the cuts as presented.
At the Budget Committee meeting Tuesday, council members were shown where and how cuts were made in various departments. The roughly 2.5 percent cuts across all departments equate to $582,775 in savings in the proposed 2013 budget.
