Freeburg man arrested after police chase

Osage County authorities arrested a Freeburg man this week after he led them on a pursuit.

On Monday, deputies arrested Kenneth Charles Ketcherside, 35, who was found to have a suspended driver’s license

Deputies attempted to pull Ketcherside over after finding out about the suspended license, but he fled north on U.S. 63.

The pursuit eventually ended when Ketcherside wrecked his car on County Road 521.

A subsequent investigation revealed that Ketcherside is a convicted sex offender and required to register with local authorities, but he had failed to do so.

Further charges are pending against Ketcherside after authorities found his residence was within 1,000 feet of a school or day care center, a violation of his being a convicted sex offender.
