Lady Jays romp to victory against Lebanon

Jefferson City softball coach Lisa Dey wants her team to be balanced.

"I'd really like to have everybody with two hits," she joked.

That didn't quite happen, but it was close. Nine different Lady Jays had hits as Jefferson City rolled to a 10-2 win against Lebanon on Tuesday at Lincoln Field.

The Lady Jays scored in five of their six innings and were in control from the onset.

The big blow came in the third when Jefferson City batted around and scored five runs on five hits. The inning started with a double by Madison Washington. She came around to score on a squeeze play by Madison Painter. Brooke Rozier doubled home Painter to make the score 4-0.
